This silane coupling agent helps to improve the corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of the surface of these metals. It can also enhance the adhesion capacity of resin polymer.

The 3-Mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane is mainly used with the inorganic fillers like carbon black and SiO2, etc. It is capable of activating, coupling, cross linking and reinforcing in polymers, such as rubber and silicone rubber, etc. It also has the functions similar as KH-580.
